Think Tennis Club grew out of years of tennis coaching experience. As a coach, I wanted to build something that could travel with me: mobile, adaptable, and able to work across different countries, tennis academies and audiences.
The project has three pillars:
Workshops: Offering conceptually interesting workshops to tennis centres and academies around the world.
Coaching: Providing private tennis coaching, including online coaching.
Community: Sharing insightful tennis knowledge and creating meaningful conversations through webinars, both online and in person.
At the heart of Think Tennis Club is the idea of building genuine personal connections with players and with the parents who support them. I want to create a space where people can share real, specific experiences, ask questions, and have someone they can lean on throughout the process.
That means I want to hear from you directly: what is actually on your mind? How are you navigating your training or your child's tennis journey? What challenges are you facing? And where do you think I could genuinely help?
It is all about creating a community based on conversation, experience and human interaction.

1) Think First
Every shot starts with a decision. We teach understanding before technique, and awareness before execution. Players who understand the game adapt better.
2) Own Your Decisions
Players make their own decisions. Coaches guide, challenge and help them learn to make better choices.
3) Growth Over Ego
Every lost point is a chance to learn. Every mistake is feedback. We measure progress over time, not by individual results. Learning matters more than perfection.
4) Respect the Game and Each Other
Play fair. Give your best. Respect your opponents, partners and coaches, whatever their level or the result. How you compete matters as much as whether you win.
5) Community Over Competition
We support one another’s development, celebrate progress and show up for each other, on and off the court.
6) Curiosity as a Habit
Learning doesn't stop when the lesson ends. Questions, match reviews and honest self-analysis keep players improving long after they've left the court.
7) Consistency and Discipline
Mental strength grows through practice, patience and consistency. Keep showing up, especially when it gets difficult. Steady effort leads to lasting progress.
8) Tennis Over Material Things
You don't need the latest racket, shoes or equipment to play, learn or improve. We value curiosity, effort and the desire to develop above material things.
9) Tennis Without an Agenda
Think Tennis Club is independent of political, ideological, religious or other external agendas. Our focus is simple: tennis and the development of players who think, learn, make their own decisions and play with purpose.
10) Community at the Heart
Think Tennis Club grows through human connection. Its strength comes from the people who take part, contribute, share their experiences and help shape the conversation.
I began my tennis coaching journey in 2008 in London. In 2013, I earned my LTA Tennis Coach Licence, building my early practice at Bromley Tennis Centre.
Along the way, I came to believe that tennis success is 15% skill and 85% mental strength, and that belief now sits at the centre of how I coach. My work focuses on three areas in particular: children and junior development, tennis mindset, and tactical and strategic thinking.
A licence tells you I've met a professional standard. It doesn't tell you how I actually coach. That comes down to something harder to certify: a natural feel for teaching, a genuine interest in developing people rather than just strokes, and the ability to read a player's psychological profile and adapt to it. Over years of practice, I've built my own approach around teaching differentiation, working out what a particular player actually needs rather than applying the same method to everyone.
I take the same approach to my own development. I read widely, study coaching research, and treat learning how to coach as seriously as coaching itself. For me, tennis is a lifestyle, and I coach it that way.

“Martin has been our family tennis coach for the past year and that has been one of our highlights while living in Prague! He has been the coach of my 3 boys and myself and each of our lessons had a perfect combination of fun, engagement and teaching skills. His level of dedication in preparing the lessons in advance and following up afterwards while sharing more tips and resources is simply incredible.”

“Martin has been training both myself and my 9 year old son for the last year. We are both really happy with the training. Martin has helped to add skills, develop good habits and keep us both motivated to improve. As well, Martin has done a lot of extra effort to show us links and connections to keep us engaged with the wider tennis community. We are happy to long-term tennis clients with Martin.”
